Trying to catch up on some of the weddings that I’ve done recently. I have been really busy with my day job, but I’ve also been doing weddings every weekend. This was an awesome wedding event that I did in Snowmass Village, just outside of Aspen. I had the privilege of working with the band ‘Soul X’…
A few quick snapshots of the wedding this weekend [8/10]. Very low-key and lots of fun. Bride is a friend of one of my booking agents…
This has been an action packed week, even with EDGE Bar/Four Seasons still to come on Saturday night.
Wednesday night was a wedding reception at the AMAZING Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, CO. Since the boss man of Starkey Productions reprised his role in the ‘Jersey Boys’ singing group during the reception, he saw fit to treat us to dinner at O’Malley’s Steak Pub in nearby Palmer Lake, CO. Imagine my surprise when they announced that we could cook our own steaks! I had a mouth-watering 14oz ribeye that I’m still tasting 2 days later!
Thursday night was the opening of the Face/Lift ballroom at the posh Curtis Hotel in Downton/LoDo Denver. The food was superb and the scenery was pristine. When the guests left, I kicked things into high gear for the staff and did a full blown video DJ dance party!
I know it’s been a while since I posted something. I’ve been crazy busy with work and events, but I was mainly keeping things quiet while I was pursuing the acquisition of my latest ‘baby’:
Yes- that is an iPad in the center of a DJ controller; the Numark iDJ Pro. You know, the new setup I have been blogging about like an obsessed fanboy…
Well, I own one now and I will be using it exclusively for all of my new recorded mixtapes, including video mixtapes. Stay tuned for some interesting productions!
One more thing- the new moniker is “Mr. ‘Mix-It’!” I still roll with ‘Techjitsu’, but Perfect Mix Pro needed something that tied in better with the whole brand. Besides, Mr. Mix-It truly is who I am, what I do, and how I do it!
